Bob and Dawn Heenan are the owners of Dakota West designs. Bob managed a ranch for many years until he retired from Ranch work as his back could not take ranch life anymore. Dawn owned different businesses through the years and ended up in trader’s market five years ago selling a few blankets hides and purses. Moved to Uptown Mall about 2 years ago and our own store Dakota West designs was born!

We are local South Dakota people, both born and raised from a country background. We are blessed to have many children, family, and friends. We love our customers, always have an extra chair and plenty to talk about! We want to thank everyone for their support to help us grow as a business and know we have something for everyone!
